Daniel A. DiRamio, 97, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Thursday October 30, 2014 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility in Niagara Falls, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Joseph and Maria (Mancini) DiRamio.

Daniel was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY and attended local schools. On March 22, 1941 he married Rose A. (Villani) DiRamio at St. Joseph Church in Niagara Falls. Mrs. DiRamio predeceased him on September 24, 2014. Daniel worked for DeMunda Construction Co. in Niagara Falls, and later went on to own and operate his own painting company. Dan was also employed by the New York State Parks Department, where he maintained the flowers and gardens at the Niagara Falls parks. Dan was an avid bowler and baseball player. He participated in local bowling leagues and once won the New York State Bowling Championship for doubles competition. He was also a diehard New York Yankee fan.

Mr. DiRamio is survived by his two sons, Daniel A. (Maryann) DiRamio of Sanborn, NY, Douglas A. DiRamio of Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by one son Dennis F. DiRamio on June 30, 1999. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Nikki DiRamio, Dana DiRamio, Julie DiRamio, Rachel (Joseph LaSpada) DiRamio, Patty Jo DiRamio, DeAnna DiRamio and Dennis DiRamio, as well as many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was also predeceased by nine brothers and sisters.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, November 1st at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay, O.S.F.S. officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Niagara Frontier Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094. Arrangements by M.J.
