Daniel Brown, a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, son-in-law and friend, passed away September 1, 2026 surrounded by the love of the family who meant everything to him.

Daniel was born on February 7, 1951, in Niagara Falls, New York, to the late Warren and Margaret Brown. He graduated from Trott Vocational in 1970 and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army Reserves. During his military career, Daniel graduated from the Sergeant Majors Academy, an accomplishment that reflected the dedication, discipline, and leadership that would remain such an important part of his life.

In 1973, Daniel began his career with the Niagara County Sheriff's Department, where he served for 38 years before retiring in 2011 as a Criminal Investigator.

While Daniel was proud of his career and his service, his true pride in life was his family. Daniel met the love of his life, Angela (Incorvia), when they were childhood sweethearts. They remained together from that time forward and were married on October 14, 1972. For more than five decades, Daniel and Angela shared a life filled with love, laughter, and countless memories. He is survived by his beloved wife, Angela; his daughter, Stephanie Brown (Derek Wozencraft); his son, Ryan Brown; and his cherished grandchildren, Corrine Wozencraft and Ronan Brown. He is also survived by his siblings, Robert (Mary Brown); Donna Banks (Mike), George (Agnes) and Dorothy Brown DiRado. He was predeceased by two siblings, Paula Wakshlag (Jack) and Richard Brown, and his father-in-law Angelo Incorvia (Carmella). Daniel also leaves behind his mother-in-law Carmella Incorvia, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tom and Anne Incorvia, along with many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who were an important part of his life.

Anyone who knew Daniel understood his nicknames for people were his own special way of showing affection. Hearing one of them could instantly bring a smile to someone's face.

Daniel enjoyed gardening, golfing, and dinner with friends. He especially treasured his trips to Arizona to attend the Phoenix Open with his family. He was also a devoted Buffalo Sabres fan.

Some of his happiest times, however, were spent visiting his children and grandchildren in Phoenix and Baltimore. He treasured those visits and especially looked forward to attending all their sports games and activities, along with conducting "Papa Camp" in the summer. Those days with his grandchildren created memories that will be cherished by them for the rest of their lives. To his grandchildren, he wasn't simply Grandpa—he was Papa, and his love for them was unmistakable.

Daniel's family would like to give their profound thanks to the Niagara Hospice staff for their wonderful care and empathy.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 4 from 10:30 – 12:30 PM at St. Leo’s Church, 2748 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY 14304, where Daniel’s Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12:30 PM.
