Daniel D. Savino, 72, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Friday March 2, 2012 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport NY, surrounded by his loving family after a long courageous battle with lung cancer. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Anthony and Tomasina (Biamonte) Savino.

Daniel was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. He attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. In 1964 he married Elizabeth (Golanka) Savino at Prince of Peace Church in Niagara Falls, NY. He was employed as a material handling engineer at Ferro in Niagara Falls, NY. Daniel enjoyed the music of Frank Sinatra and considered himself his biggest fan. Being extremely friend and family oriented, he lived his life for good food and good cheer. Daniel's greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Daniel is survived by three children Linda Castellano of Wheatfield, NY; Diane (Kevin) Bos and Daniel (Alicia) Savino both of Niagara Falls, NY and five grandchildren Angelina Castellano, James Castellano, Danielle Bos, Anthony Savino and Amelia Savino.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 3 – 7 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Monday March 5th at 9:15 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. John De LaSalle Church, 8469 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. with Rev. John P. Bucki, S.J. officiating. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Memorial donations may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, PO Box 631, Buffalo, NY 14240.
