Darleen A. Bozek, 81, of Lewiston, NY (formerly of Niagara Falls, NY) passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Kenmore Mercy Hospital on July 21st, 2026. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Charlotte (Julian) Burton Jr. and the wife of the late Richard Bozek.
Darleen was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. She worked for many years at various hospitality and retail establishments in the Niagara Falls area until her retirement. Darleen was a loving and giving woman who treasured her faith and family above all else. Despite her health struggles, she maintained a positive outlook and overcame all of the obstacles in her life with the support of family and prayer. She had a vibrant personality, was sharp as a tack, and had a vast knowledge on numerous topics. She enjoyed her trips to Las Vegas with her daughter Julianne, and was an animal lover through and through. Her beloved cat Beau was her greatest companion whom she adored very much. She looked forward to spending quality time with her sister Diana chatting and watching their favorite TV shows. Darleen was an avid fan of the Bills, Sabres, and New York Yankees. She was a stylish lady who always knew how to put together a good look. Her devotion to her family and caring nature will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Darleen is survived by her children, Julianne (Mark) Giaquinto and John (Felicia) Bozek; sister Diana Heughan; grandchildren Celina (Jon) Glauser, Marissa and Vincent Giaquinto, Emmalee, Avangeline, and Taylor Bozek, LaNia Reese, and Michael Warren; great-grandchildren Jonathan, Eden, Antonio, Isla, Faith, and Michael Jr.; niece Janelle (Scott) Finn; nephew Mark Heughan; brother-in-law Robert Bozek; and her beloved cat Beau; as well as many other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband Richard Bozek and her brother, Ronald Burton.
The family would also like to express a special thanks to the staff at Davita Dialysis and her Astella van driver Terry who went above and beyond with the care he provided for her.
