David R. Ventry, 66, of Wheatfield, NY passed away on Monday November 9, 2009 at Kenmore Mercy Hospital in Kenmore, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Daniel and Catherine (Sandonato) Ventry, Sr.

David was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area. He attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. In 1964 he married Frances I. (Bellavia) Ventry at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Niagara Falls, NY. For over twenty five years, David was employed as a carpenter with the Carpenters Local Union # 289 in Niagara Falls and later Buffalo, NY. David took great pleasure in being with his family and doing carpentry projects for them. But above all, he enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, David is also survived by his six children, David Ventry of Tonawanda, NY; Kelly (Kris) Ventry-Furman of Cambria, NY; Marni (Frank) Amoretti of Niagara Falls, NY; Mark Ventry of North Tonawanda, NY; James Ventry of Tonawanda, NY and Nicole Ventry of Wheatfield, NY; seven grandchildren, Austin, Madison, Kelsi, Regan, Jacob, Matthew and Alexander; two brothers Daniel (Dorothy) Ventry, Jr. of Lewiston, ME and Donald (Annmarie) Ventry of Niagara Falls, NY; one sister Joan (Louis) Campieri of Orchard Park, NY; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. David was the son-in-law Brandlyn Bellavia, and brother-in-law of, Jane and Frank Congi and Marge and Sal LaScala all of Niagara Falls, NY.

Friends may call on Thursday November 12th from 3 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where services will follow at 8 p.m. with Rev. Robert Hughson officiating.
