Obituary

Daylelinia C. French, 54, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully at home on August 8, 2026. Born in Alliance, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Darryl and Mary (Pue) French.

Known lovingly as “Linker,” Daylelinia carried a heart made for caring. She nurtured others with a natural gentleness, a quick wit, and a gift for making people feel seen. For many years she ran a home daycare, pouring her love into the children she welcomed each day. She was blessed with three children of her own, whom she adored deeply. Later, she worked for over 5 years as a Care Aide for the developmentally disabled through Empower, forming meaningful bonds everywhere she went through her humor, compassion, and generosity.

Daylelinia was also a devoted advocate for animals, especially her beloved cat, Penelope. She found joy in cooking—most of all when it brought her family together around the table. Her presence was warm, steady, and full of life, and she leaves behind a legacy of kindness that will continue to ripple through the many lives she touched.

She is survived by her children, Arrmon Askew, Frank Scarborough, and Rayquan Graham; siblings Teresa French, Darryl French, Jr., Cheryl French and Darcie French; seven cherished grandchildren; her best friend Paul A. Mezhir (Larry Brohman); dear friend Beatrice Kent; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by her parents.

Visitation will be held Monday, August 17, 2026, from 3–5 PM at M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304, concluding with a short prayer service at 5 PM. For condolences, please visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com.
