DeJuan L. Hunt, II, 25 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday, August 29, 2016. Born and raised in Niagara Falls, NY, he attended local schools and was currently enrolled at the Cleveland Art Institute in Cleveland, OH.

DeJuan had an ardent passion and talent for art which was evident at the many exhibitions his paintings and drawings were showcased at both locally and in Cleveland, OH. At the local level his work was presented at various art shows at the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center as well as Wine on Third, the Old Falls St. Music and Art Festival and the N.F. Public Library. While in Cleveland, DeJuan's window painting at a cancer facility was done with hope it would have a positive impact on the many patients there. He received numerous awards in recognition of this artwork. DeJuan also was responsible for creating an online blog and online art portfolio to promote his artwork as well as that of other artists locally and nationally. In addition to his artwork, DeJuan also authored a children's book, Old Buddy Gray in 2015.

DeJuan is survived by his loving mother, Jenine M. Townsend of Niagara Falls, NY; father, DeJuan Hunt; maternal grandparents Elizabeth and Roosevelt Townsend of Niagara Falls, NY, as well as several aunts and uncles and many cousins and friends.
