Dennis J. "Denny" Hausler, 63, of Wheatfield, NY died on Monday September 26, 2011 at his residence while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Buffalo, NY he was the son of the late Wilfrid and Isabel (Canty) Hausler.

Denny was a former resident of Williamsville, NY for thirty years until moving to the Town of Wheatfield in 2008. He was a 1966 graduate of Bishop Neumann High School and in 1972 he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting at Canisius College in Buffalo, NY. On May 26, 1972 he married Sandra M. "Sandy" (Siracusa) Hausler at St. Joseph Church in Lockport, NY. Dennis had a thirty year career in accounting, most recently as the chief financial officer at the Cornerstone Community Federal Credit Union in Lockport, NY from 2000 until 2007. Prior to that he worked at Empire of America, Marine Midland Bank and M & T Bank all in Buffalo, NY. He was a member of the Institute of Management Accountants (I.M.A.). Denny enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of thirty nine years, Mr. Hausler is survived by two children Christopher J. (Kim A.) Hausler of The Woodlands, TX and Melissa L. (Joe B.) Zorn of Wheatfield, NY; six grandchildren, Brandon Hausler, Nicole Hausler, Madison Hausler, Mason Hausler, Jake Zorn and Owen Zorn, one brother Douglas F. (Karen) Hausler of Mt. Pocono, PA; two aunts and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was the son-in-law of Anthony (late Mary) Siracusa of Lockport, NY.

Friends may call on Friday from 4 – 8 at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday October 1st at 11 a.m. at St. Jude the Apostle Church, 800 Niagara Falls Boulevard, North Tonawanda, NY with Rev. Edward Jost officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Tonawanda, NY. Memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY.
