Diane M. (Joost) Reiss, 68, of Town of Niagara, NY passed away Friday April 6, 2012 at Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, NY. Born and educated in Buffalo, NY she was the daughter of the late Charles and Gladys (Zeistz) Joost.

Diane began working at John's Flaming Hearth in Niagara Falls, NY and then worked in the pantry at Inn on the River, in Niagara Falls, NY for over twenty-seven years. She was a dedicated volunteer in helping to help raise funds to assist patients of Hutchinson-Gilford Progeria Syndrome. Diane was an avid stamp collector, enjoyed completing jigsaw and crossword puzzles, and was an avid bowler for many years. She also enjoyed playing cards, attending bingo, and cooking for her family and friends.

Diane was predeceased by her husband, Richard C. Reiss on October 11, 1996. She is survived by her children Marlene Carlisto (Charles Felder, Jr.) of Grand Island, NY, Richard C. Reiss, Jr. (Patricia Guyette) of Lewiston, NY and Kimberly Reiss (Danny Lickers) of Niagara Falls, NY; nine grandchildren Angela, Michael, Tabitha, Richard, Jason, Joey, Samantha, Caitlin, and Amber; eight great-grandchildren; one sister Kathy "Queenie" (late Donald) Krupka of Cheektowaga, NY, one brother Charles (Margaret) Joost of Tonawanda, NY, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister, Deborah Roberts.

No prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to be held Saturday April 28th at 12 Noon at Forestview Church of God, 1250 Saunders Settlement Rd., Lewiston, NY. Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY will be at the convenience of the family.
