Dilia Silvestri, 93, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, September 22, 2021. Born in Introdacqua, Province of L'Aquila, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Ida (DelSignore) Tiberi; and the step-daughter of the late Paolina Tiberi.

Dilia was educated in Italy and immigrated to the United States, settling in Columbus, Ohio. She moved to Niagara Falls, NY and married her beloved husband Iginio Silvestri on May 3, 1952. Mr. Silvestri predeceased her on February 15, 2000.

She was a longtime parishioner of Mt. Carmel Church, and the Cristoforo Colombo Society Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking and crocheting, but above all, Dilia centered her life around her beloved family.

Dilia is survived by her children Loretta (late Phillip H.) Silvestri-Lewis, Linda Silvestri and Joseph Silvestri; her grandchildren, Katarina (Dan Caruso) Silvestri, Alexandra Silvestri and Phillip Lewis; her siblings, Giuseppe (late Rina) Tiberi, Tonino (Anna) Tiberi, and Loreta (late Gianni) Tiberi-Giammarco, as well as many nieces and nephews throughout the United States and Italy. Dilia was also the sister-in-law of Settimia (late Amedeo) Mancini, Maddalena (late Camillo) Silvestri, the late Filomena Silvestri, and the late Lina Silvestri. Mrs. Silvestri was predeceased by three siblings, Gildo (late Franca) Tiberi and Ida (late Antonio) Frissora, and Gilda Tiberi.

Visitation will be on Friday, September 24 from 4 - 8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin on Saturday at 9:15 AM., followed by Dilia's Mass of Christian Burial at 10 AM in Holy Family Parish at Mt.
