Dina E. Freidhof of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in Elderwood at Wheatfield. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Pasquale and Rachel (Guido) Benvenuti; step-daughter of the late Anna Benvenuti and the beloved wife of the late Thomas J. Freidhof, who she married on April 25, 1953, in St. Joseph's Church.

Dina attended local schools and began working at the Carborundum Company. She then became a waitress at Fortuna's Restaurant for many years until her retirement in 1982.

As a devout Catholic, and lifelong parishioner of St. Joseph's Church, Dina was affiliated with several religious groups including the St. Joseph's Mother's Club and Senior Group, as well as the Madonna del Soccorso society. She was also a longtime member of the Cristoforo Colombo society and the Red Hat society.

Dina was an excellent cook and baker. She was also an avid reader and bingo player, and especially enjoyed her frequent visits to the casino. She has a great love for music and attended many live theater concerts. Above all, Mrs. Freidhof centered her life around her family who will miss her dearly.

Dina is survived by her children, Diana (Gordon) Ward, Thomas (Karen) Freidhof and David Freidhof; her grandchildren, Gregory (Andrea) Ward, Philip (Susie) Ward, Michelle Halvarson and Erika Halvarson; her great-grandchildren, Amelia, Jaxson, Rylee, Olivia and Aidan; two sisters, Norma (late Bill) Haluska and Linda (David) Pavicich; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her siblings, Mary Benvenuti, Jimmy (late Rose) Benvenuti and Rita (late Joseph) Sarro.

Visitation will be on Friday, July 9 from 10 – 12 Noon at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, where funeral services will begin at 12 Noon, followed by Dina's Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 PM in Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph's Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY.
