Dolores Adriatico (Alvarez), 83 of Lewiston, NY, died peacefully on Monday, June 14th in her home surrounded by her loving family. Born on January 12, 1938 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Joseph "Peppy" Alvarez and Mildred (DeLuca) Alvarez.

Dolores was born, raised and attended local schools in Niagara Falls, NY. There she met her love Joseph Adriatico and was married on July 8, 1961. Dolores worked for various companies during the years including Hooker Chemicals, TAM Ceramics, and Carborundum. She attended both St. Joseph's and Mt. Carmel Catholic Church (now Holy Family) where she and her husband Joe were active members. Dolores loved to cook, bake and travel; but mostly being around her daughters and their families.

Besides her parents, Dee was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 2006. She is survived by her 3 children; Patricia (John) Pallaci, Donna (Richard) Sestrich of Columbus, OH and Jo Ann (Robert) DiCamillo. She has 8 loving grandchildren; Ericka, Madison & Morgan Sestrich, Adrianna Pallaci, Jessica DiCamillo, Chantal (Steve) Hulsizer, Ashley (Steve) Pino, and Matthew (Toni Marie Macri) Pallaci. Dolores is also survived by her loving sister Sandra (Joseph) Genovese and her sister-in-law Leonina (late Rocco) Adriatico. She also leaves behind her great grandchildren; Ava & Ella Hulsizer, Gianni & Matteo Pino and Ozzie & Ziggie Pallaci and her loving nephews and nieces; Pete and Dave Genovese, Sam Licata, Tony & Joe Putaski, Diana Kachurek, John and Michael Adriatico and Maria Kieffer and their extended families. She was also predeceased by her sister Annie (late Joseph) Putaski and sister-in-law Beatrice (late Agatino) Licata.

Calling hours will be at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY, on Thursday, June 17th from 4 to 8 PM. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial being held on Friday, June 18th at 11 AM at Holy Family Parish in Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue Niagara Falls, NY. Private entombment will be held for the immediate family at St. Joseph's Cemetery, 3806 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Niagara Hospice, Mercy Flight or a charity of your choice.
