Dolores H. Konecki, 87, formerly of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, at Brothers of Mercy Nursing Care Residence in Clarence, NY. Born in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Helen (Dryja) Kuzma.
Dolores was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School and later earned her Bachelor's Degree in Labor Relations from Empire State University. In January of 1954, she married Joseph J. Konecki, Jr. Mr. Konecki predeceased her on March 15, 2020, after 66 years of devoted marriage.
Dolores was self‑employed as a beautician for many years, but also dedicated three decades of service to the City of Niagara Falls. She worked at the Niagara Falls City Library, in the Finance Department, and as a secretary in Human Resources and Personnel Management until her retirement in 1993. She was a proud and active member of the Polish National Alliance.
Dolores and her husband traveled extensively throughout the world, especially enjoying cruises together. Following her retirement, they moved to Edgewater, FL, where they spent 30 wonderful years and formed close friendships with many neighbors. Dolores loved to entertain and expressed her affection through her cooking and baking, which she joyfully shared with family and friends.
She is survived by her sons, Joseph J. (JoAnne) Konecki, III, and Michael R. (Lisa) Konecki; her grandchildren, Alison (Peter Raleigh) Konecki, Kristin (Ryan) McCurley, Michelle (Mark) Salay, Rachel Konecki, and Anne-Marie (Ian) Berger; her great‑grandchildren, Rylyn and Cameron; as well as several cousins.
Private interment and funeral services in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY, will be held at the convenience of the family.
