Donald A. Panepinto, "Spinny", 83, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Thursday October 22, 2015 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Philip and Rose (Balistere) Panepinto.
Spinny attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. He married Viola "Vicki" (Astofi) Panepinto in St. Joseph Church, Niagara Falls in 1953. Mrs. Panepinto predeceased him on November 23, 1999. During the Korean War, he served in the United States Army from October 17, 1952 until his honorable discharge on September 18, 1954. Donald worked for over thirty years as a foreman at the City of Niagara Falls Department of Public Works. He was a dedicated New York Yankees fan and enjoyed boating and fishing. He will be remembered as always being there for his family and ensuring their well being.
Mr. Panepinto is survived by three sons, Donald R. (Tina) Panepinto, and Michael A. Panepinto, both of Niagara Falls, NY, and Philip (Judy) Panepinto of Lockport, NY; five grandchildren Ryan, Brittany, Brandon, and Vincenzo Panepinto, and Santino Cafarella; one great grandson Landon Panepinto; and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Philip (late Alma) Panepinto, and two sisters, Marilyn Shaw and Elaine Finn.
Visitation Sunday 3 – 7 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Rd. Niagara Falls, NY where funeral services will be held Monday October 26th at 11:00 AM with Rev.
