Donald H. Vansickle, 95, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on July 30, 2022 at Newfane Rehabilitation and Health Center in Newfane, NY.  Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, he was the son of the late Harold and Beatrice (Delahoy) Vansickle.

Donald was employed in Cafeteria Services with Profit Foods at the University at Buffalo.  Don was very interested in learning the history of all of the world's flags.  Don also loved cats, and spending time sitting outside of his residence.  He really enjoyed country music and playing guitar, and when he would go out to listen to country music with his longtime companion, Concettina "Connie" Masic, he was known by his nickname Country Don.  Connie predeceased him on February 6, 2019.

Donald is survived by his longtime caregivers since 2012, Catherine and Timothy Rickard, as well as several members of the Rickard, Masic, Gualtieri and Neff families that he cherished as children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren of his own.  In addition to his longtime companion, Connie, he was predeceased by his sister, Ruth Ruthton, in 1961, and his niece, Ruthann Hughes, in 2009.
