Donella Quinn Nocera, 8, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away Thursday December 11, 2014 at Women's and Children's Hospital in Buffalo, NY. She was the daughter of Nathan J. Nocera and Lisa M. Miljour

Donella was a student at Niagara Street Elementary School and was very energetic and adventurous. She enjoyed going to Fantasy Island theme park on Grand Island, hiking at the Niagara gorge, and celebrating her birthday every year at the Buffalo Zoo. She loved her pets as well as horses, birds, and snow leopards. Donella, whose nickname was 'Princess Thumbelina', enjoyed being with her family, and will be remembered for her acrobatic summersaults. Donella's family would like to extend gratitude to Compassionate Care NY, Make-A-Wish Foundation of WNY, and professional WWE wrestler John Cena.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her sisters, Rubina D.C. Nocera and Maxine Miljour; her paternal grandparents, Carol (Jim) Tarapczynski and Butch Nocera, all of Niagara Falls, NY; maternal grandmother, Donna Weaver of Cleveland, OH and the late Dennis Miljour; paternal great-grandmother, Mary (late Virgil) Neadow of Niagara Falls, NY; maternal great-grandmother, Caroline Chew of Niagara Falls, NY, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Visitation will be Monday 6 -8 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY RD. NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Tuesday December 16th at 9:15 AM followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM at Divine Mercy Parish, 2437 Niagara St., Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Jacek Mazur, officiating. Private entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
