Doris O. Lasut, 82, of Niagara Falls, passed away on May 8 ^th , 2018 at her residence under the care of Niagara Hospice.  Born on December 25, 1935, in Berlin, NH she was the daughter of the late Hormidas J. and Doria (Boutin) Gagne.

Doris came to the area with her family as a child. On February 3 ^rd , 1954, she married John A. Lasut, Sr. in Niagara Falls.  Mr. Lasut predeceased her on August 26 ^th , 1979.  She was employed as an EKG Technician and Nurse's Aide with Mount St. Mary's Hospital in Niagara Falls and Lewiston.  She enjoyed arts and crafts with her friends, sewing, watching golf on television.  Above all, her life was centered on her family, as she enjoyed cooking and baking for family gatherings and travelling on family vacations.

She is survived by her children, John A. (Nancy Gervasi) Lasut, Jr., and Rodney J. (Mary Jo Ganci) Lasut, her grandchildren, Nicole Lasut-Campbell, Lindsey Lasut (Warren McDougald), Ashley (Derek) Kirkendall, Tiffany (Clayton) Lenhardt, Jessica (Anthony) Brogan, Angela Lasut, step-grandchildren Ryan Gervasi and Tyler Gervasi, twelve great-grandchildren, Warren, Justin, Jaden, Jaliyah, Ava, Emily, Dakota, Jacob, Johnny, Tessa, Hugo, and Alina, her brother, Joe (Betty) Gagne and several nieces, nephews and cousins.  In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her brother, Norman Gagne and her sister-in-law, Jeannie Gagne.

Friends may call on Friday, May 11 ^th from 4 – 8 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY, where funeral services will be held at 8 P.M.  Interment will be in at Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY at the convenience of the family.
