Dorothy M. (Basmajian) Capone, 90, of Ransomville, NY, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2016 at Odd Fellow and Rebekah Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Lockport. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Hagop and Margaret (Egoian) Basmajian.

Dorothy attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1944. On July 9, 1960 she married Ralph Capone, Mr. Capone predeceased her on May 23, 2008. Dorothy was employed by Moore Business Forms in Niagara Falls and retired as an Attorney Correspondent in the late 1980's after forty five years of service. Dorothy especially enjoyed farming, traveling, going to the casino and spending time with her beloved dogs and cats.

Dorothy is survived by one son, Brian (Marilyn) Gadigian of Ransomville, two grandchildren, Charles Gadigian and Alexis Rutty; two great- grandchildren, Shayna E. Rutty and Brenden P. Rutty as well as many nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by one sister Sally Marderosian.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4th at 10 a.m. Entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Flowers are graciously declined. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Niagara County S.P.C.A., 2100 Lockport Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
