Dorothy V. (Jeffries) Hayes, 92, of Youngstown, NY passed away on Monday, March 9, 2015 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Greensburg, KY she was the daughter of the late Issac and Hattie (Judd) Jeffries.

Dorothy's favorite pastime was birdwatching as well as feeding them. But most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Samuel Hayes in 1982. She is survived by three children Edgar (Sharon) Hayes, Regina (John) MacNeil both of Lewiston, NY and Douglas (Mary) Hayes of Niagara Falls, NY; six grandchildren Liza, Adam, Kerri, Tiffany, Jillian and Tara; six great grandchildren Anthony, Mia, Trey, Gia, Felix and Isabel and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by eight siblings Avery Jeffries, Elsie Jeffries, Elroy Jeffries, Othel Jeffries, Audrey (Ralph of Kentucky) Judd, Chester (Clarice of Kentucky) Jeffries, Lester (Aileen of Kentucky) Jeffries and Gerald (Sue of North Carolina) Jeffries.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Where funeral services will be held Thursday, March 12th at 11:00 a.m. Interment in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
