Obituary
Dorothy (Wygonik) Hutcheson, 87, of the Town of Niagara passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara, WI she was the daughter of the late Mikoloi 'Mike' Wygonik and Josephine (Mikolojezyk) Wojdacz and step daughter of the late Michael Wojdacz.
Dorothy graduated from high school in Alpha, MI and came to the Niagara Falls area with her family in the 1940's. She married George E. Hutcheson in Niagara Falls, NY and was predeceased by him on April 14, 1992. Dorothy was employed at Moore Business Forms in Niagara Falls and also worked at local restaurants. Most recently she worked at the Town of Niagara Senior Center for the past five years. Dorothy was a devout Catholic and longtime active member of St. Leo's Church in the Town of Niagara. She served on their parish council, altar and rosary group, the apostolic committee and the bereavement committee which she was the coordinator of. Dorothy was also a member of many local senior groups and especially enjoyed traveling with them. She was an avid card player who particularly liked Euchre. But above all, Dorothy loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Dorothy is survived by two sons Ronald J. (Janine) Hutcheson and George M. Hutcheson both of the Town of Niagara and was predeceased by one son Jeffrey M. Hutcheson. Survivors also include eight grandchildren, several great grandchildren, one sister Vicki (late Peter) Guiliani of Rochester, NY; her special friends Mike and Maria Murawski and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by five siblings Helen (late Julius) Guiliani, Stella (late John) Kollie, Thaddeus (Steffie of the Town of Niagara) Wygonik, Walter (late Hilda) Wygonik and Elizabeth Wygonik.
Visitation will be on Friday from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m. at the
M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, May 23rd at 10 a.m. at St. Vincent De Paul at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Robert Hughson officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Lewiston, NY. Memorial donations may be made to St. Vincent De Paul at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14304.
