Dorothy O. Gravino, 99, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on March 7, 2026, at OLP Ascension Nursing Care Residence. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Frances (Trunzo) Tate.

Dorothy attended local schools and graduated from Trott Vocational High School. On May 26, 1945, she married the love of her life, Leonard D. Gravino, at St. Joseph’s Church. Together they built a beautiful life rooted in faith and family raising their three beloved children, Lennie Ann, Dominic, and David in Niagara Falls.

Deeply committed to the well‑being of others, Dorothy played an instrumental role in fundraising efforts for both St. Mary’s Hospital and Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. Her generosity and community spirit touched countless lives. Dorothy was also well known for her excellent baking.

Above all, Dorothy was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her greatest joy came from the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Lennie Ann (Clayton) Fioravanti, Dominic "Mickey" (Evelyn) Gravino and David L. Gravino; her grandchildren, Clayton (Thomas) VanDerGrift, Felicia (Jamie) Gilvin, Nicole (David) Kuna, David Gravino II and Joseph P. (Brianna) Gravino; her great-grandchildren, Jaxson Kuna, Jemma Fioravanti-Gilvin, Logan Kuna and Benjamin Gravino; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Leonard in 2014, and her three siblings, Anna Mae (late Earl) LaRocca, Margaret "Peggy" (late Paul) Masters and Nicholas (Annette) Tate.

The family wishes to thank the entire staff of O.L.P Nursing Care Residence for the care and compassion provided to Dorothy.
