Dorothy J. Schiavi, 95, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on September 5, 2023 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Harry and Helen (Adams) Wallace and the step-daughter of the late Hannah Wallace.

Dorothy was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School.  On August 26, 1950, she married Anthony B. Schiavi, M.D. at Sacred Heart Church in Niagara Falls, NY.  Dr. Schiavi predeceased her on January 14, 1990.  Dorothy was employed at Nabisco Shredded Wheat and Hooker Chemical in her younger years.  She was an avid golfer and a member of Niagara Frontier Country Club, where she loved to spend time and enjoy functions with her dear friends at the club.  She was a fantastic cook, and loved preparing and sharing holiday meals with her family.  Dorothy was the life of the party, and will be remembered most for her great personality, kind hearted nature and her love of her family.

Dorothy is survived by her children; Anthony (Rosanne) Schiavi, Marianne Schiavi, Matthew (Laura) Schiavi, and Brian Schiavi; her grandchildren, Krista (Scott) Sciera, Ashley (Andrew) Marinucci, Bianca Schiavi and Matthew A. Schiavi; great-grandchildren, Kendall, Kamryn, Adria, and Armin; her sister, Mary Neville (Martin Loftus), as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  In addition to her husband of 39 years, she was predeceased by her siblings, Barbara (Linus) Ormsby, Betty (late Jerry) Gormley, and Robert (late Patricia) Wallace.

There will be no prior visitation.  Dorothy's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, September 9 at 9 AM at St. Raphael Church, 3840 Macklem Ave, Niagara Falls, NY 14305.  Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.  In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to Niagara Hospice.  Arrangements by M.J.
