Dorothy 'Betty' (Buckmaster) White, 84 of Niagara Falls, NY died on Wednesday December 24, 2008 in Millard Fillmore Gates Circle Hospital in Buffalo, NY. Born in Buffalo, NY she was the daughter of the late George and Dorothy (Bowman) Buckmaster and step-daughter of the late Hazel Buckmaster.

For over forty years, Betty was employed as a waitress at the Como Restaurant on Pine Avenue in Niagara Falls. Following her retirement, she enjoyed attending activities at the John Duke Center in Niagara Falls, bowling, traveling, crafts and painting. Betty's greatest pleasure came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Mrs. White was predeceased by her husband Michael J. White in 1971. She is survived by her two children; Darlene (Dominic) Pino of Niagara Falls, NY and Michael (Nancy) White of Houston, TX, three grandchildren; Denise (Michael) Pallaci, Janine (Tim) Schroeder and Christina (Christopher) Zona, four great-grandchildren Michael, Jenna and Daniella Pallaci and Anthony Zona, one brother Peter (Brenda) Buckmaster of Ontario, Canada and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Friends may call on Friday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI AND SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Saturday December 27th 9:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Parish at St. Leo's Church 2748 Military Road Niagara Falls, NY with Rev.
