Douglas Mead Sr., 58, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on Monday, September 12, 2022. Born in Newburgh, NY, he was the son of the late Charles and Doris (Terwillger) Mead; and the husband of Maryann (Oldrey) Mead.

Doug was employed as a Machine Operator at Champion International in Walden, NY for many years. He relocated to Niagara Falls 8 years ago to be closed to his family. Doug loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. Above all, he was happiest when he was in the presence of his family, especially his grandchildren.

In addition to his wife of 31 years, Doug is survived by his children, Douglas (Samantha) Mead, Jr. and Faith Mead; his grandchildren, Douglas III and Sophia; two step-sons, Charles Letts III and Steven Letts; his brothers, John and Kurt Mead; as well as several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by one brother, Charles Mead.

Private services will be held by Douglas' family. Arrangements by M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel.
