Dudley S. Watson, Sr., 80, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on May 13, 2024. Born January 28, 1944 in Morant Bay, St. Thomas, Jamaica, he was the second son of the late Miriam Lindsay and the late George Watson.

Growing up in Morant Bay Dudley attended local schools. About the age of 14 he became an apprentice in the trade of masonry.   Dudley was a reliable worker and became highly skilled as a young apprentice. He was often requested to work on many building projects in Jamaica with local contractors.

Dudley eventually worked as a mason in Bermuda for two years before arriving in Florida for employment in the 1970's. When Dudley moved to Niagara Falls, it was here he met and married his wife, Glenora (Taylor) Watson in 1986. Dudley landed a job with a construction company where he worked for several years.  During the late 1980's Dudley became the lead employee at a 6 acre property where he completed major building renovations and provided maintenance solutions. There was also an auto service business on the premises that he would oversee.

Dudley enjoyed listening to his extensive collection of vinyl records and CD's. Some of his favorites were classic Jamaican sounds of Ska and Reggae as well as Rhythm and Blues. He was also an avid swimmer and enjoyed playing and watching Cricket. Dudley was a lighthearted man who loved to socialize, party and laugh. He cherished his time with family and friends.

Dudley leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 38 years, Glenora, one son Dudley Watson Jr. his daughter in law Carol Watson, his daughter, Bev Braithwaite, his grandchildren Brian Watson, Kayla Watson, Jaden Watson and Jacintha Braithwaite, his brother John Watson and his wife Juliete, his sister Marian Watson, his special daughter Annmarie Williams and grandson Ricardo McNaught as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his brother Rupert Watson and his sister Elaine Watson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 22 from 1 – 2 PM at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY 14304, where funeral services will begin at 2 PM.  Private interment in Jamaica will be held at the convenience of the family.  Visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
