E. Geraldine 'Jeri' King, 98, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away on January 4, 2025 at Schoellkopf Health Care Facility.  Born in Akron, NY, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Harriette (Smith) Lister, and the wife of the late Edgar J. King, who predeceased her in September of 1997 after 28 years of marriage.

Jeri attended Cheryl Fells' School of Business.  She was employed for 15 years as a Cashier at Super Duper in Niagara Falls, and later as a Cashier at Burger King.  After her husband's passing, she moved to California in 1998 where she worked for her son's business, Freeman Enterprises, in Irvine, CA, where she was the CEO and Receptionist. In 2014, she returned to Niagara Falls.  Jeri loved to travel and shop.  She was an animal lover, and was especially close to her dog, Penny.  Geraldine was also a member of the Red Hat Society.

A very helpful and intelligent woman, Geraldine valued the good qualities in life and always saw the good in others – she made sure to impress her strong values on whomever she came into contact with.  She was also very precise and meticulous, and had a special fondness with working with numbers and grammar. Always on the go, Jeri was always dressed to impress, usually in her favorite color, purple.  Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Geraldine is survived by her children, Joan (late Don) Baker, Jim Witcop, Thom (Sue) Freeman, Alice Martin, Mitzie (John) Griffin, Jerry-Dean (Nikki) Freeman, Tim Freeman, and Theodore (Marlene) Freeman; her adopted children, Laura King, Ernestine (late Patrick) Gayle, Annette Ralands, Carolyn (late Warren) McDougald, Evelyn (late John Lowe) (Stan) Moore; as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.  She was sadly predeceased by a baby daughter, Belinda Freeman, and her adopted children, Martha Faye (late Kevin) McDougald, Barbara (late William) Martin, Charles King, and Edgar King Jr.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 15 from 11:30 AM – 1 PM at M.J.
