Earnestine Dixson, 81 of Valley Stream, NY passed away peacefully and entered into eternal rest on December 23, 2018 at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New Hyde Park, NY after a lengthy illness.  Born in St. Stephens, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Florence Wallace.

Ernie, as she was affectionately known, was raised in St. Stephen South Carolina and attended local schools. She moved to Niagara Falls, in 1949 where she met and married the late Richard Dixson in March of 1957.  Of this union she was blessed with 5 loving and supportive children.

Earnestine worked at local restaurants and hotels in Niagara Falls during the 50's & 60's. In 1972 she was employed by Niagara County Cooperative Extension as an Expanded Food and Nutrition Aide.

While residing in Niagara Falls, she was a member of the St. John A.M.E. Church . She was an avid bowler and enjoyed cooking, fishing, and bid whist.

Earnestine was preceded in death by her husband Richard L. Dixson, Thomas & Florence Wallace, parents.  Thomas Wallace Jr., brother; Annie Flynn and Thomasena Sanders, sister.    She leaves to mourn two daughters; Pastor Celestine Booze (Archbishop Stephan), and Reverend Eleanor Dixson-Hobbs (late, Elliot), two sons; Joseph Dixson and Louis Dixson.  Eight Grandchildren Paul Jackson Jr. Clifford Jackson, Marcel Moore, Tiffany Dixson, Tameka Dixson, Ashley Dixson, Devonte Dixson, Evan Hobbs, Elaina Hobbs, two great grandchildren Ariyah Summers and Clifford Jackson Jr., A sister, Lillie May Johnson of Bonneau S.C, two brothers; Joseph Wallace of St. Stephen S.C. and Vernon Wallace of Orangeburg S.C. and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 11 - 12 Noon in Potter's House C.C.C., 723 7th Street Niagara Falls, NY, followed by the home going celebration at 12 Noon.
