Eddie L. Robinson, Jr., 82, a beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, passed away peacefully on November 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family.  Eddie was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama on August 30, 1943.  He was the son of the late Eddie L. and Idell (Logan) Robinson, Sr.

He moved to Niagara Falls as a child, where he graduated from Niagara Falls High School and built a life rooted in hard work, family, and faith. Eddie's life was a testament to new beginnings, love, laughter and dedication.

Eddie dedicated 35 years of service as a Forklift Operator at Carbon Graphite in Niagara Falls, New York until the plant changed ownership in 2005. A lifetime member of St. John AME Church, Eddie found spiritual strength and reconnection there.  The church is where he rekindled his relationship with his beloved wife, Margaret (Carson) Robinson. After 21 years apart, Eddie and Margaret reunited and married in May of 2012 in Lockport, sharing a total of 36 cherished years together.

Eddie was a man of many talents and passions. He was a cowboy at heart, Eddie had a deep love for western movies, horses, his barn, cowboy hats and boots and the land he tended at his home. He was passionate about music, especially blues music and racing cars. He even built two race cars of his own. His vibrant personality made him unforgettable—fun-loving, light-hearted, and devoted to his family. Eddie or Papa as he was affectionally called by his children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren will be deeply missed.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Margaret; his children, daughters Ramona Gilmore-Robinson, Margot Robinson, Kimberly Gilmore-Jackson, Keisha Gilmore and sons, Eddie Robinson, II, , Stacey Robinson, Jeffrey Robinson, Warren Gilmore, and; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was predeceased by his beloved son, Anthony Gilmore, and his brothers, Bill (Martha) Robinson and Ernest (Annie Ruth) Robinson.

Homegoing Services and a Celebration of Eddie's life will be held on November 22 at a 12 PM at St. John AME Church, 917 Garden Ave, Niagara Falls, NY 14305.
