Obituary

Edmond P. DiBacco, 82 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away suddenly on Saturday March 21, 2009 at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY.

Ed lived in Niagara Falls his whole life and was the son of the late Pasquale and Jeanette (Ventry) DiBacco. He attended local schools, graduating from Trott Vocational and later the Kelly Business Institute where he met his wife, Laura.

He was in the United States Navy during WWII and, on June 16, 1951, married Laura (LaClair) DiBacco at St. Joseph's Church. Ed worked at Kimberly Clark Co., Hooker Chemical and then joined Houilhan Insurance in Niagara Falls as a realtor – this started a life long love of real estate. He established his own business, DiBacco Realty, and worked at selling real estate until his death. Over the years, he managed the United Office Building, purchased and renovated the Arnson Building, and was involved in property development in Niagara Falls, Grand Island and Youngstown, NY. He was an active member of the Niagara Cerebral Palsy Association and served on their board of directors.

In his younger years, he gave riding lessons with his brother, enjoyed snowmobiling with friends and family, smelt fishing with his nephew and traveling to Vermont to spend time with his wife's family. Above all, he was a good friend to everyone, devoted husband to his wife Laura; a wonderful father, grandfather and uncle.

In addition to his wife of fifty seven years, Mr. DiBacco is survived by his two children; Debbie (Roger Beam) DiBacco of Albion, NY, David (Maryellen) DiBacco of The Woodlands, TX, three grandchildren; Meghan DiBacco, Kathleen DiBacco and Daniel Edmond Beam, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his three brothers; Louis DeBacco, Donald DeBacco and Rosario 'Ross' DiBacco.

Friends may call on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the M.J.
