Edna Marie Mitchell, 98, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on August 3, 2019 at Schoellkopf Health Center. Born in Bronx, New York, she was the daughter of John and Stella (Stettner) Abegglen; and the beloved wife of the late Horace Mitchell.

Edna worked as a telephone operator with Verizon Communications for many years prior to her retirement.

She is survived by her five children, Richard (Janet) Mitchell, Dennis (Marianne) Mitchell, Margaret (Robert) Zambito, Patricia (George) Bixby and Robert (Tess) Mitchell; ten grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one brother, Jack Abegglen.
