Edward G. Clark, 74, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Tuesday March 27, 2012 at Elderwood Healthcare at Crestwood in Wheatfield, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Boyd H. and Betty (Hoffman) Clark.
Edward was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. He attended local schools including the former Trott Vocational High School and served in the Army National Guard. On September 3, 1960 he married Marlene S. (Colucci) Clark in Niagara Falls, NY. Edward was employed as a driver by UPS (United Parcel Service) in Niagara Falls, NY and retired in 1992 after twenty three years of service. Prior to that he was a driver for 7-Up Beverage Company and had also worked in the construction of the New York State Power Project. Ed was a member of the I.S.D.A. (Italian Sons and Daughters of America) Cataract Lodge, the former Century Club, the Buff Club and the LaSalle Sportsman Club. He enjoyed hunting, bowling, tending to his tomato garden, and was a devoted New York Yankees fan. Ed also enjoyed traveling with his wife Marlene, particularly to Myrtle Beach, SC. Above all, Ed loved socializing with his friends at Pete's Mobile Station on Pine Avenue, and spending time with his family, particularly his grandson.
In addition to his wife of fifty one years, Edward is survived by two children, Edward A. Clark and Janelle C. (Mark) DeSimone both of Niagara Falls, NY; one grandson Mark A. DeSimone, one brother Boyd (Christine) Clark of Niagara Falls, NY, his step-sister Barb Vogel of Niagara Falls, NY; several nieces, nephews, cousins and his daughter's beloved dog, Koko Marie.
There will be no prior visitation. Private funeral services and interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY will be held at the convenience of the family.
