Rev. Eddie L. Holthouser,of Niagara Falls, NY died on Monday October 25, 2010 at his residence under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Louisville, KY he was the son of Louise Young Misener of Elizabethtown, KY and the late Chester Holthouser. He married Cheryl (Wagner) Holthouser at St. James United Methodist Church in Niagara Falls, NY.

Rev. Holthouser graduated from the former Trott Vocational High School in Niagara Falls, NY. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 until his honorable discharge in 1961. He was employed as an auctioneer for more than forty years, most recently with Scott Perry and Co. in Niagara Falls, NY and retired in 2002. Following his retirement Eddie continued to help at area auctions. He was also an ordained minister through the Universal Life Church. He began preaching in Kentucky and served as an associate minister at Glendale United Methodist Church. Rev. Holthouser also had the pleasure of preaching at several local churches in the Niagara Falls area. In his leisure time, he enjoyed golfing, antique cars, traveling and taking cruises. He especially enjoyed going to Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, TN.

In addition to his wife and mother, Rev. Holthouser is survived by his children Larry (Heather) Holthouser of Kentucky; Michelle (August) Marohn of Tonawanda, NY and Robert (Barbara) Wagner of Maryland; ten grandchildren and one great grandson.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Service on Thursday October 28th at 11 a.m. at St. James United Methodist Church, 4661 Porter Road, Niagara Falls, NY. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
