Obituary

Edward W. Mort, age 82 of Niagara Falls entered into rest Saturday, April 14, 2018.  Born in Niagara Falls, NY he was the son of the late Emerson and Julianna (Sczesniak) Mort.

Ed has lived in Niagara Falls all of his life. He married Josephine Savino on June 26, 1954 in Our Lady of Lebanon, Niagara Falls, NY. She predeceased him on December 19, 1998. Edward served in the National Guard for several years. He worked for the laborers local #91.  Ed was an avid sportsman enjoying hunting and fishing. Above all Ed enjoyed spending time with his family.

Edward is survived by his children; Edward (Michele) Mort, Jeffrey Mort and Lori (Bernard) Bartlett; grandchildren, Edward, Moria, Jeffrey, Brianna, Nick, Marissa and Lindsey; two great- grandchildren, Edward and Brooke; brother, Ronald (Paula) Mort; sister, Margaret Polino and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his wife and parents, Edward was predeceased by his sister, Irene Jacobs.

Visitation will begin on Wednesday, April 18 th from 3 – 7 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated Thursday at 10:00 A.M.in St. Vincent De Paul Parish at St. Leo's Church, 2748 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH.  Interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. Please visit mjcoluccifuneralchapel.com for online condolences.
