Eileen "Kathy" Dembek, 64, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at her residence. Born on July 2, 1956 she was the daughter of the late Richard and Barbara (Trainor) Dembek.

Kathy was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls where she graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She would say her greatest accomplishment in life was being a mother to her three children. She loved them fiercely and unconditionally. She was a talented writer who brought her high school friends together again through her creative stories and eloquent phrasing. She also had a great sense of humor and wit. Above all, Kathy was an extraordinarily special, kindhearted and generous person who would do anything for anyone.

Kathy is survived by her beloved children Jessica Zortman, Matthew Licata, and Natalie (Robert Swartz) Licata whom she took great pride in raising; three siblings, Joseph Dembek (Christine Michael), Mary Dembek, Robert (Jeannine) Dembek; her former husband, Samuel Licata, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and her dearest lifelong friend, Ilonka Sabic-Lukić.

Private funeral services with interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY, will be held privately for the family.
