Elaine Catanese, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on February 20, 2021 in N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Marion and Angeline (Ranalli) Mayflower.

Elaine was raised in Niagara Falls where she attended local schools. On August 7, 1948, she married her beloved husband, Anthony J. Catanese. Mr. Catanese predeceased her on November 4, 1975.

Elaine was employed as a Laboratory Assistant at Alox for many years prior to her retirement. She was also a longtime parishioner of St. Joseph's Church. Elaine enjoyed cooking, baking, knitting and crocheting. Above all, Elaine especially enjoyed spending time with her loving family.

Elaine is survived by her four sons, Anthony (Darlene) Catanese, Richard (Joan) Catanese, Daniel (Renee) Catanese and Frank (Deborah) Catanese; ten grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Norma Perez, Stella (late John) Orynawka, Cecilia (late Michael) Bierman; Mario (late Florence) Quaglia, Bernard (late Mary) Mayflower and Gilbert Mayflower.

Mrs. Catanese's Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. in Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph's Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.
