Eleanor A. (Ligammari) Gibson, 94, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Friday, May 16, 2014, at Northgate Manor in North Tonawanda, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Antonio and Nicolina (Crishoni) Ligammare.

Eleanor was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY. On July 13, 1946 she married John S. Gibson at Niagara University in Lewiston, NY. Mr. Gibson predeceased her on October 5, 1997. Eleanor enjoyed arts and crafts and particularly enjoyed crocheting and knitting. She was also an avid baker.

Eleanor is survived by two children Sandra J. (Daniel) LaVerde of Leesburg, FL and John J. (Laurie) Gibson of Niagara Falls, NY; six grandchildren Beth Ann (Jeffrey) Tretter, Jennifer (Corey) Angiulli, Tony LaVerde, Andy (Michelle) Gibson, Todd Gibson and Paige Gibson, four great grandchildren Lily Angiulli, Emma Gibson, Vivian Angiulli and Lincoln Tretter; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three sisters and five brothers Carmella (late Antonio) Cosentino, Sam (Rosella of Lewiston, NY) Ligammare, Nicholas (late Lucy) Ligammari, Thomas (late Mary) Ligammare, Lawrence (Clara of Niagara Falls, NY) Ligammare, Anne (late Joseph) Cicero, Frances Diaz and Joseph (Dolores of Niagara Falls, NY) Ligammare.

Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 – 7 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Monday, May 19th at 8:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at Divine Mercy Church, 2437 Niagara Street, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. Interment in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
