Eleanor May (Scalzo) Lebold, 87, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015 at Elderwood Healthcare in Wheatfield, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Mollie (Palumbo) Scalzo.

Eleanor was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools. In 1949 she married Samuel Sicurella and was predeceased by him in 1955. She later married Stanley Clifford Lebold in 1960 and was predeceased by him on June 2, 2014. Eleanor was an accomplished impressionist and palette knife artist who studied art for fifteen years at several schools including; Niagara University, Niagara College in Welland, Ontario, the Marie Schnieder Fine Arts School in Tweed, Ontario and Buckhorn School of Art in Buckhorn, Ontario. Throughout her lifetime she continued taking courses and workshops to enhance her artistic knowledge and skills. Eleanor's works were on display in many galleries on both the East and West coasts, and also operated a private gallery in Niagara Falls. In addition to her love of art, Eleanor was devoted to her family.

Eleanor is survived by her five children, Sandra Bartone, Janice Mahon both of Watkins Glen, NY; David (Elaine Davis) Lebold of Niagara Falls, NY; Suzanne (Arthur) Ruska of North Tonawanda, NY and Alan (Diane) Lebold of Wheatfield, NY; nine grandchildren, Anne Bartone, Natalie Bartone, Brett (Chantel) Mahon, Valerie Mahon, Zachary Lebold, Phillip Ruska, Christopher Ruska, Sam Lebold and Joe Lebold; two great-grandchildren Georgia and Henry Mahon as well as several nieces and cousins. She was also predeceased by three sisters, Elizabeth (late Chester) Lange, Margarite (late John) White, Virgilia Scalzo and one brother Frank Scalzo.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 3 – 7 p.m. at the
M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 17th at 10 a.m. at Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church, 1413 Pine Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. William Allegretto, CM officiating. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Interment will follow in Riverdale Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
