Eleanor M. (Previte) Loverde, 87, of Lewiston, NY passed away on Friday November 19, 2010 at Niagara Hospice House in Lockport, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Ann Marie (Petrone) Previte.

Eleanor was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. For over twenty years, she was employed as a court clerk for the Niagara Falls City Court and retired in 1985. One of Eleanor's favorite pastimes was participating in various local card clubs with her friends which she did for thirty years. She also liked cooking but most of all she enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Loverde is survived by three children, Carol (William) Glassner of Lewiston, NY; Gail (Guy) Bellavia of Niagara Falls, NY; Russell (Debi) Loverde of Youngstown, NY and was predeceased by one son Edward A. (Mary of Lewiston, NY) LoVerde. She is also survived by six grandchildren, William (Kelly) Glassner, Jason (Rachael) Glassner, Carrie (David) Rouser, Elena (Christopher) Woods, Ashley Loverde and Gina Loverde; five great-grandchildren Abigail, Juliana, William, Jacob and Walker and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. She was also predeceased by five sisters and three brothers, Edith (late Odillo) Sonka, Frances (late Peter) Magliarditi, Nancy (late William) Wojtowicz, Sarah Previte, Nellie Previte, Joseph (late Mary) Previte, Rocco (late Teresa) Previte and Carmen (late Nellie) Previte.

Visitation will be held on Sunday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Monday November 22nd at 9 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Bernard's Church, 218 Hinman Street, Youngstown, NY with Msgr. J. Thomas Moran officiating. Interment will be held in St. Joseph Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive Lockport, NY 14094.
