Elena R. Walton, 77, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 3, 2021 in Schoellkopf Health Center, under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine "Billie" (Valle) Scarfone.

Elena was a 1961 graduate of Niagara Falls High School. On August 24, 1974, she married the love of her life, Robert O. Walton, in Walnut Avenue Christian Church, where together they also taught Sunday School together for many years.

Elena was employed as the administrative assistant of Merrill Lynch's Nichelson Group for over 30 years until her retirement. She was also a longtime sorority sister of Laureate Alpha Iota Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi.

Mrs. Walton was a member of the First Assembly of God Church, sang on the Worship Team and choir, and also acted in the parish musicals for many years. In her earlier years, Elena enjoyed making ceramics and traveling with her husband. Above all, Elena centered her life around her family who will miss her dearly.

In addition to her husband, Robert, Mrs. Walton is survived by her nieces and nephews, Darren (Renee) Walton, Doug (Lori) Walton, Bryan (Heather) Walton, Adrienne (Paul) Adams; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Noah, Regan, Maddison, Tyler, Quinn, Cole, Brenna, Nate, Gwen and Hugh; her brother-in-law, Albert C. (late Brenda) Walton; as well as several cousins and friends, especially her special cousins, Maria and Greg Rizzo, and special friends, Rita Rolfe, and Michal and Bob Broeker. Elena was predeceased by one brother-in-law, Donald Walton.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 8 from 4 – 7 P.M. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Elena's funeral services will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. in the First of Assembly of God Church, 9750 Niagara Falls Blvd., Niagara Falls, NY. Interment in Riverdale Cemetery.
