Loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Sister

Elizabeth A. 'Betty' (Heeney) Forgione, 68, of the Town of Lewiston died on Wednesday November 11, 2009 at the home of her daughter while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late James and June (Grandusky) Heeney.

Betty was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools. She was employed as a certified nursing assistant at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and she also worked for Staff Builders. Very nurturing and family oriented Betty's life was centered on her family.

Mrs. Forgione was predeceased by her first husband Patrick Bondi in July 1990 and her second husband Armand Forgione on April 1, 2009. She is survived by three children Patrick (Mary) Bondi, Christopher (Shannon) Bondi and Holly (Mark) Warren all of Niagara Falls, NY; ten grandchildren John, Jason, Greg, Amanda, Patrick, Raymond, Christopher, Chet, Jon and Joseph; nine great grandchildren, three sisters Catherine (Robert) Moore of the Town of Niagara; Joan (Matthew) Raich and Sandra (Duane) Rickard both of Niagara Falls, NY; one brother Joseph (Mary) Heeney of Niagara Falls, NY; two aunts, one uncle, several nieces, nephews, cousins and her extended Forgione family. She was predeceased by one brother Michael Heeney.

Friends may call on Friday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Saturday November 14th at 9:45 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. in St. John De LaSalle Church, 8469 Buffalo Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Slawomir Siok, SAC officiating. Interment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston NY. Donations in Mrs. Forgione's memory may be made to Niagara Hospice, 4675 Sunset Drive, Lockport, NY 14094.
