Elizabeth M. (Sanzo) Badendyck, 88, of Lewiston, NY, passed away unexpectedly at Mt. St. Mary's Hospital. Born in Johnstown (Central City), PA on March 12, 1933, she moved to Niagara Falls at the age of 18 and lived here the remainder of her life.

"Betty" as she was known had three children, Grant (Sandy) Badendyck, Robert (Beth) Badendyck and Debra (Mike) Calzone.

In her younger years, she worked and was actively involved at St. Leo's Church in Niagara Falls. Betty put herself through Cheryl Fells Business School which helped her gain employment at the Department of Social Services for over 20 years prior to retiring in 1999.

She was a strong, independent woman who loved and cared for her children very deeply. Betty became the beloved grandmother to Kate Badendyck, Robert Badendyck Jr., and Brianna Badendyck; and the cherished great-grandmother to Gracie Badendyck and Zoe Dowell. She loved her family and cherished the time with them. She also enjoyed maintaining her home, reading, completing crossword puzzles and making sure to keep an eye on the neighborhood. She was deeply loved and appreciated, and will be greatly missed.
