Elizabeth "Betty" (Bax) Belson, 91, of Wheatfield, NY died on Monday December 19, 2011 at Elderwood Health Care at Crestwood in Wheatfield, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Romeo and Lena (Disalvo) Bax.

Betty attended local schools and on November 15, 1947 she married William Edward Belson in Niagara Falls, NY. In 1975 she and her husband moved to Florida where she lived until returning to New York shortly after Mr. Belson's death in April 2005. Betty was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the LaSalle Sportsman's Club in the Town of Niagara. In her leisure time she loved doing crafts.

Betty is survived by four children Steven (Deborah) Gall of Lewiston, NY; Donna Sawyer of Elbridge, NY; Dean Belson of Tonawanda, NY and Kim Belson of FL; eleven grandchildren, many great grandchildren, one sister Olivia "Ollie" (late Emil) Lorenti and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters Lucy (late Joseph) Salacuse and Celia (late Matthew) Kramarz and four brothers Joseph (late Marion) Bax, Alphonse 'Butch' (late Esther) Bax, Samuel "Chico" (Naomi "Nan" of Niagara Falls, NY) Bax, and Daniel (late Mary) Bax.
