Elizabeth J. Perno 71 of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Saturday September 19, 2009 in Mt. St. Mary's Hospital in Lewiston, NY. Born in Scranton, PA she was the daughter of the late Alice and Donald Mandia.

Elizabeth came to the Niagara Falls area as a child with her family. She was educated in Lewiston, NY and a graduate of Lewiston-Porter High School. On May 25, 1979, she married Frank F. Perno in Niagara Falls, NY. Elizabeth worked at the former Marine Midland Bank in Youngstown, NY as a branch manager for twenty two years. She was later employed as a loan officer for the Small Business Administration in Buffalo, NY until her retirement in 1998. Elizabeth was an avid golfer and member of the Hyde Park Women's Golf League where she had served as a past officer. She was also a member of the Moose Lodge in Lewiston, NY and enjoyed traveling in her leisure time. Most of all, Elizabeth took great pleasure in spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband of thirty years, Mrs. Perno is survived by three children, Maria (Bruce) Burns, Linda (James) Isenhart and Frank (Colleen) Perno all of Grand Island, NY, six grandsons, Bruce (Jacqueline) Burns, James (Virginia) Isenhart, Kevin (Melissa) Isenhart, Brian Isenhart, Travis Perno and Craig Perno as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by one brother David (late Joanne) Singer.

Friends may call on Monday from 3 – 8 p.m. at the M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin on Tuesday September 22nd at 9:15 a.m., followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph's Church 1413 Pine Avenue Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Duane Klizek officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial offerings may be made to the American Heart Association Po Box 3049 Syracuse, NY 13220.
