Elizabeth (Burcume) Provencher, 96, of the Town of Niagara, passed away on Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at Elderwood Healthcare at Crestwood in Wheatfield, NY. Born in Canton, NY she was the daughter of the late John and Olive (Laduke) Burcume.

Elizabeth married her husband Joseph Robert Provencher in Canton, NY on September 8, 1934. Mr. Provencher predeceased her May of 1967. She enjoyed watching daytime soap operas and spending time with her family.

Elizabeth is survived by six children Jean (late James (Hewey) of Potsdam, NY, Wilfred (Clare) Provencher of Florida, Jeanette (late Jay) Martinez of Niagara Falls, NY, Linda (late AJ) Hartley of Georgia, Ruth (late Jack) Gaines of Norfolk, NY and Terrie (Patrick) White of Niagara Falls, NY and nineteen grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, fourteen great great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by three sons Glenn Provencher, Richard Provencher and John Provencher, three brothers and five sisters.

There will be no prior visitation. Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
