Elizabeth Sarkissian, 90, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Friday February 10. 2012 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Donig and Satenig (Gurunlian) Sarkissian.

Elizabeth was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls area and attended local schools. For nearly twenty years she was employed by the New York State Power Authority until her retirement. Elizabeth was a passionate and accomplished writer, having published several articles and short stories in various magazines. Elizabeth was also affiliated with the local Armenian Church's.

In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was predeceased by three brothers and one sister, Kerrigan Sarkissian, Sharky (late Anna) Sarkissian, Alice Sarkissian and Victor (late Sonia) Sarkissian. She is survived by one nephew, Brett (Beth) Sarkissian, one niece, Brigitte Griffin both of Virginia, her great-niece, Jennifer Griffin and great-nephew Robert Griffin.

Visitation will be held Wednesday February 15th from 10 a.m. until 12 Noon at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL 2730 MILITARY ROAD NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will follow at 12 Noon with Deacon Albert Amato officiating.
