Ellen Dooher, 82, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 9, 2024. Born on January 4, 1942 in Niagara Falls, NY, she was the daughter of the late William and Marie (McDonald) Mills; and the beloved wife of the late George I. Dooher whom she married on August 17, 1975 at the former Holy Rosary Church in Niagara Falls.

Ellen graduated from the former St. Mary's High School and earned her Bachelor's degree, as well as her Master's degree in Education from the University at Buffalo. For over 36 years she taught in the Lewiston-Porter Central School District, in their Primary School and North Elementary School.

Ellen was a longtime member of the Niagara College Clubs Gourmet Club, and avid golfer with the Niagara Frontier Country Club and Hyde Park Ladies League. She had a deep love for education, reading, traveling, tending to her garden and entertaining her family and friends.

Mrs. Dooher is survived by her daughter, Meghan (Kevin) Robb; her grandchildren, Edward 'Teddy' and Catherine 'Cate' Robb; her sister, Patricia Mills, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Nancy A. Mills and her brother, George Mills.

Visitation will be on Saturday, May 4 from 9 – 10 AM in St. Mary of the Cataract Church, 237 Fourth Street Niagara Falls, NY, followed by Ellen's Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment will be held privately in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lewiston, NY.
