Ellen (Faso) Lucantonio, 70, of Niagara Falls, NY, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 13 ^th 2019 at Mount St. Mary's Hospital after a lengthy illness. Born in Niagara Falls, she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Susan (Watkins) Faso.

Ellen graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1966 and attended Niagara University. On January 11, 1969, she married her beloved husband, Ernest "Ernie" Lucantonio at St. Joseph Church and recently celebrated their 50th anniversary together.

Ellen was dedicated to the community and served as chair of the Niagara Falls Democratic Party during the 1980's. She also worked for the Niagara Falls Community Development for over 20 years until her retirement in 2009.

Ellen enjoyed traveling with her family to Florida and spending time at their cabin in the Southern Tier. Above all, she was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She especially enjoyed being with her grandchildren and attending their sporting events.

In addition to her husband of 50 years, Ellen is survived by her loving children, Ernest C. (Liane) Lucantonio, Amy (Garrett) Stack and Bernard (Danielle) Lucantonio; her cherished grandchildren, Carmen and Isabella Lucantonio, Michael, Emma and Shannon Stack, Nicholas and Cooper Lucantonio; her brother, Hon. James J. (late Arlene) Faso; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and her niece, Darice, who was also a close and comforting friend to her. Ellen was the daughter-in-law of the late Ernest and Connie Lucantonio; and sister-in-law of Virginia (William) Rufran and Ronald (Violet) Lucantonio. She was predeceased by one sister, Annette (late William) Rufrano.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff of the ICU and 6 ^th Floor at Mount St. Mary's Hospital, as well as the Niagara Falls Fire Department for the compassionate care given to Ellen.

Visitation will be on Sunday, February 17 ^th from 1 – 7 P.M. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 Military Road, Niagara Falls, NY. Ellen's Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00 A.M. in Holy Family Parish at Mt. Carmel Church, 27 ^th and Independence Street, Niagara Falls, NY.
