Elma L. (D'Angelo) Colucci, of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Sunday January 23, 2011. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Carmen and Italia (Kartilla) D'Angelo. She was the third oldest child in a family of eight children. Her father Carmine was an expert carpenter and home builder who built their family home in Niagara Falls as well as other fine homes in the area.

Elma was a lifelong resident of the Niagara Falls, NY area. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. She married Carl J. Colucci on September 7, 1936 at St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls. They were married 65 years before Carl's death in October 2001. Elma worked at the former Lincoln's Department Store on Main Street until the start of their family in 1940.

She along with her husband, was a strong supporter and advocate of the Republican Party interests and became a committee member. Elma was a uniquely strong willed woman who maintained an interest in political issues and world events.

Mrs. Colucci is survived by one son, Eugene C. (Bernadine) Colucci, Sr. of Lewiston, NY and one daughter, Joy (William) Hamblin of Los Altos, California, four grandchildren, Eugene Colucci II, Kristen (Dr. David) Hojnacki, Lisa (Douglas) Isaacson and Jennifer (Robert) Hamblin-Dougherty, six great-grandchildren, Noah and Logan Isaacson, Emma and Oliver Dougherty, Dominic and Rocco Hojnacki, several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. Elma was predeceased by three sisters, Pearl Wyler, Sally Francis, Elsie D'Angelo and one brother Faust D'Angelo.

There will be no prior visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday January 26th at 10:00 a.m. in Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph Parish at St. Joseph Church 1413 Pine Avenue Niagara Falls, NY with Rev. Stewart Lindsay O.S.F.S. officiating. Interment will follow in St. Joseph's Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY. Flowers are graciously declined. Memorial offerings may be made to Mt.
