Elpidia (Garcia) Carlino, 93, of Niagara Falls, NY died on Sunday January 9, 2011 at Our Lady of Peace Nursing Care Residence in Lewiston, NY. Born in Spain, she was the daughter of the late Gregorio and Clotilde (Perez) Garcia.

Elpidia came to Niagara Falls, NY in 1924 where she lived until the present time. She attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. Elpidia was predeceased by her husband Samuel "Sam" Carlino on June 14, 1985.

Elpidia was predeceased by two children Edward G. (Nancy of Niagara Falls, NY) Carlino and Linda (Gene of Missouri) Martin. She is survived by four grandchildren Gregory Carlino, Michael Martin, Amanda Martin and Krista Martin, one sister Clotilde (late James) Craig of Niagara Falls, NY and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by one brother Amador Garcia.

Friends may call on Wednesday January 12th from 10 a.m. until 12 noon at the M.J.COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will follow at 12 noon with Rev. Jacek Mazur officiating. Interment in Oakwood Cemetery, Niagara Falls, NY.
