Elsie M. (Rotella) Geracci of Niagara Falls, NY passed away on Thursday October 13, 2011 at Niagara Falls Memorial medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Virginia Rotella.

Elsie attended local schools and graduated from Niagara Falls High School. On August 17, 1940 she married V. James Geracci in St. Joseph's Church in Niagara Falls. Mr. Geracci predeceased her on March 14, 2001. For thirty years, Elsie worked as a teller and later as a note teller for the former Marine Midland Bank now HSBC Bank on Pine Ave. and 19th Street in Niagara Falls until she retired in 1980. Following her retirement, Elsie and her husband moved to Florida where she resided for fifteen years until moving back to Niagara Falls. Elsie will be remembered as a well known business woman in Niagara Falls.

Mrs. Geracci is survived by her nephew Joseph (Laura) Rotella of Niagara Falls, NY, her dear friend and neighbor Daniel Hill of Niagara Falls, NY as well as one great-niece, one great-nephew and great-great niece and nephews. She was also predeceased by one brother Joseph (late Julie) Rotella.

Visitation will be held on Monday October 17th from 9 – 10:30 a.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON FUNERAL CHAPEL 468 19TH STREET NIAGARA FALLS, NY where funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 27th Street and Independence Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY. Interment will be held in St. Joseph's Cemetery Niagara Falls, NY. If desired memorial offerings may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.
